Dive Team
Training and Certification

Positions:

The Missouri State Water Patrol currently has 11 members on the dive team. They consist of one (1) supervisor, one (1) assistant supervisor, eight (8) full time divers and one (1) reserve diver. The divers are located throughout the state of Missouri.

Qualifications:

  • Be employed by Missouri State Water Patrol for at least one year.
  • Pass all phases of the division's physical fitness assessment test and score a minimum of 12 points on the PADI Divemaster Stamina and Water Skills Test.
  • Pass a medical examiniation as prescribed by the Water Patrol.
  • Complete a training course designated by the Dive Team Supervisor and approved by the commissioner.
  • Must pass scheduled medical examinations as prescribed by the division.
  • Be prepared to dive under adverse conditions and in dangerous locations.
  • Annually pass all phases of the division physical fitness test and PADI Divemaster Stamina and Water Skills Test.
